T-vision clients now able to detect drivers using phones while driving

We are pleased to announce a significant update to the Traffikor software. The system is now able to automatically identify drivers using mobile phones while driving, which is a serious violation of traffic rules and one of the main causes of road accidents.

Current fines for using a phone while driving from January 1, 2025

On January 1, 2025, new penalties for using a mobile phone while driving came into force in Russia. Now this violation carries a fine of 5,000 rubles, which significantly exceeds the previous fine of 1,500 rubles. This tightening is aimed at improving driver discipline and reducing the number of accidents associated with distraction by mobile devices.
